The Push brings a hit lineup of live music to Shepparton with the All-Ages Tour back on the road.

Now part of Shepparton Music Week, Victoria Park Lake is sure to pump for the March 11 event.

Headlining acclaimed neo-soul singer Kaiit and singer-songwriter KIAN, the event will highlight local additions from Aprilis, Vince the Kid and MistyKid.

April Sofra, 17, under the guidance of Aprilis, won the chance to perform in her home town of Shepparton and in Bendigo as part of the tour.

A student at Goulburn Valley Grammar School, April has performed her entire life; however, she said this tour was a bit different.

“There’s an element to the Push tour that feels completely new, almost like uncharted territory for me as an artist and performer,” she said.

“So while I’m a little nervous heading into the tour, I’ve never been more excited to get on stage and share this new chapter and this new era of myself as an artist.

“I guess that’s the main goal – to keep fulfilling my dream by pursuing a music career for myself. I can’t wait to share the start of this journey in my hometown.

The all-ages event in Shepparton is one of 18 to be held in regional and suburban locations across Victoria.

Supported by the Victorian Government’s FReeZA initiative, the shows are a way to provide young people with skills and industry experience in organizing events in their local communities.

The Goulburn Valley-based show is backed by a few local names, with JL Productions and Hire and the Lighthouse Project making it possible.

Push chief executive Kate Duncan said it had been a “devastating 18 months” for young people and the live music industry.

“The Push is delighted to have this opportunity to bring Australia’s finest artists to the region and suburbs of Victoria,” said Ms Duncan.

“We’re helping a stack of amazing artists get back on the road and into local venues, generating significant job opportunities in areas that have lacked cultural tourism throughout the pandemic and rejuvenating the live music scene for all ages across the state.”

The Push All-Ages Tour is a fully supervised drug-, alcohol- and smoke-free event. Tickets are available through Moshtix

Participants aged 18 and over must present proof of COVID-19 vaccination or medical exemption as a condition of entry.
