Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) introduced LIC’s Arogya Rakshak effective July 19, 2021, which is an unrelated, non-participating, regular premium individual health insurance plan.

This plan provides fixed benefit health insurance coverage against certain specified health risks and provides prompt assistance in the event of a medical emergency and helps the insured and their family to remain financially independent in difficult times.

A person can insure themselves (as the primary insured (PI), their spouse, all their children and their parents under one policy.

The plan is available to primary insureds or spouse or parents aged 18 to 65 and children aged 91 days to 20 years.

The coverage period is available for the PI / spouse / parents up to the age of 80 and for children up to 25 years.

This plan offers the following benefits under one policy: Flexible benefit limit of choice, Flexible premium payment options, Valuable financial protection in the event of hospitalization, surgery, etc. the automatic increase indemnity and the indemnity without complaint.

If more than one member is covered by a policy, the waiver of premiums for the other insureds in the event of the unfortunate death of the initial primary insured, i.e. the policyholder at the start of the policy. .

Premium waiver benefit for one year in the event that any insured undergoes category I or category II surgery for certain major surgical services. ambulance services, health check-up services and optional travel are available under the plan.
