Kree Andreas Obituary (1989 – 2022) – Bishop, CA

Kree Dawnn Andreas (Rainy Smoker) 32, born December 5, 1989, died at Heaven’s Gate on January 24, 2022.
Kree was born in Bishop on December 5, 1989 to Merrell Andreas and Cheryl Smoker-Andreas. Kree spent the first four years of her life in Big Pine, then moved with her family to Missoula, Montana, where her mother began her studies at the University of Montana. The Kree loved Montana and spent the next twenty-two years on an endless adventure full of love and laughter. Kree graduated from Hellgate High School and attended Salish Kootenai College. Kree made a career in the restaurant business working for Hilton hotels in Missoula, Montana.
After returning to Big Pine, Kree enjoyed working for the Big Pine Paiute Tribe for several years. The Kree knew no greater love than going to powwows with his family, dancing both jingle and traditional styles, beautiful beads, and making many friends. She loved everyone and no one was a stranger to her. Kree loved supporting and nurturing her nieces Brooklynn and Kassidy and her nephew Dre in everything they did, from powwow dancing to sports to beadwork, they meant the world to her. Kree had a deep love for Grandma Harriet, she loved cooking for her and doing special little things for her. Kree loved music, from 70s to old school R&B to hip hop, hand drum songs and let’s not forget Christian music, Kree loved everything and had a huge playlist. Kree loved to cook, especially the latest TicTok fads and bake their famous cake pops and zucchini bread. Kree was a beautiful, caring and talented person who always had a big smile on her face, she will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
Kree is survived by his father Merrell Andreas, his mother Cheryl Smoker-Andreas. His sister Sauntee Smoker, sister and brother-in-law Kylee Andreas and Thomas Moore, nieces Brooklynn Jane and Kassidy Renee Smoker, nephew Dre Smoker, uncle and aunt Chuck Jr and Sara Smoker, uncle and aunt Luke and Janet Stone, Uncle Darrell Andreas, Uncle William Andreas Sr., Grandparents Harriet Smoker and Charles Smoker Sr.
Kree is predeceased by Grandparents Dan and Jane Andreas, Aunt Lillian Andreas, and…many other cousins ​​and non-consanguineous relatives from across the United States and Canada.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Alan Spoonhunter Memorial Gymnasium at 1050 S. Richard St. in Big Pine, Calif., with internment at Woodman Cemetery in Big Pine.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Big Pine Paiute Tribe, the Bishop Paiute Tribe Social Services Department, Roseanne Moose and many other members of the community who offered their support to the family during this difficult time.
