FDA allows NJOY e-cigarettes to stay on the market

By Emily Field (April 26, 2022, 4:53 p.m. EDT) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Tuesday that certain NJOY e-cigarettes may be marketed legally, while determining that other vaping products made by the company must be removed the shelves.

The FDA said it has granted marketing orders to NJOY LLC for its Ace e-cigarette products, which are closed systems and are ready-to-vape. Although the agency said the products can be legally marketed, it noted that the order does not mean they are safe or approved by the agency.

“All tobacco products are harmful and potentially addictive,” the FDA said. “Those who do not use tobacco products should not start.”…
